Matt Vandiver
Matt is a law enforcement professional with 14 years of full-time experience, including service on SWAT as a team leader, sniper, and firearms instructor. He currently maintains his sworn credentials with a Sheriff’s Office in the Denver Metro area, where he continues to teach firearms for both the academy and SWAT.
Matt is also a USPSA competitor with a Master classification in the Carry Optics Division . He founded Virtu Training Group to bridge the gap between law enforcement and competitive shooting, delivering performance-based training that prepares officers for real-world demands.

With 25 years of law enforcement experience, Matt brings operational knowledge, leadership, and instructional expertise to Virtu.
For the past 20 years he has served as a firearms instructor, dedicating his career to developing safe, confident, and capable shooters at every level.
Matt has also spent 23 years on SWAT, where he has served in critical roles as a sniper, team leader, and explosive breacher. This extensive background gives him a well-rounded perspective on firearms training, marksmanship, decision-making, and performance under pressure.
Eric Brennan
With 11 years of law enforcement experience, Eric brings a lifelong commitment to training. During his career as a police officer, he has served in several high-risk roles including SWAT team leader, sniper, and explosive breacher.
Eric is also a competitive shooter in USPSA with an A classification in the Carry Optics Division, which brings both tactical and performance based shooting experience to his instruction.
In addition to his law enforcement and firearms background, Eric has had a lifelong passion for combat sports and grappling. A former college wrestler, he continues to stay active as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and wrestling coach within the BJJ community.
