FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT COURSE 2-DAY $400

FIDC was designed to create capable, performance-driven shooters first. Through the application of practical shooting principles and target analysis, instructors will develop a deeper understanding of how to apply these concepts to their own shooting—so they can take this knowledge back and apply it to the students at their agency. (LE Only)

  • Firearms Safety

  • Equipment selection and set up

  • Shooting Fundamentals with specific emphasis on grip, vision, and trigger

  • Draw stroke and presentation from duty holsters

  • Predictive and Reactive shooting and how they apply to Law Enforcement

  • Shot placement and accountability

  • Sight confirmation levels and shot calling

  • Target transitions and visual processing

  • Strong hand only shooting

  • Introduction to movement

  • Curriculum development

  • Student led teach-backs

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

  • Semi-automatic pistol 

  • 3-4 magazines with a minimum capacity of 10 rounds

  • Kydex holster that fully covers the trigger guard 

  • A sturdy gun belt 

  • Minimum of 2 magazine carriers

  • 500 rounds of ammunition

  • Ear protection (electronic preferred)

  • Eye protection

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT

  • Water and snacks

  • Spare batteries

  • Tools for your specific equipment (optics, lasers, holsters, etc.) 

  • Rain/Cold Weather gear
